 Hello crafters! Time for another Global Stampin' Video Hop, and this month our theme is floral, so of course I had to join in on the fun!

Needless to say, I love me my flower stamps...I just naturally gravitate towards them! So for this blog hop I decided to play with the gorgeous All Things Fabulous bundle. The three step stamping just makes it super easy to add depth to the images. Here's what I created...

October Global Stampin' Video Hop - Poinsettia Petals

 Hello crafters! It has been a while since I last posted here...sadly, crafting has taken a back seat for a while due to this pandemic. Thankfully though, I finally had time to play and I'm back today with not one but two projects! Yay!

This month's video hop is a card with a matching project. Ever since I got my Poinsettia Petals bundle, I have been itching to play with it but just never had the chance. Well today, play I did! Here are my two projects...

I decided to make a Christmas card and matching ornament using non-traditional colors...just for fun! Here's a video on how I created these projects...

And because this was the first time in ages I got to play, I made other versions of this card as well.

This one is white heat-embossed on Seaside Spray cardstock...

And this one in Purple Posy.

Black Magic Coloring Technique

Painting with Versamark

Are you like me...not very fond of fussy cutting or cutting up masks for every image I want covered so that I can color the background how I want it? Sometimes not all images can be completely fussy cut either, there's inside pieces that I just don't have the patience nor the time to cut off. So I started thinking...what if I modify the emboss resist technique and paint with Versamark instead? So experiment I did...

First I tried painting directly with Versamark ink refill. It kinda worked, but the ink is too thick and it didn't make for an even embossing. So I tried thinning out the ink, but no luck there. I was about to give up when I thought, heck, why not just try inking my brush directly from the pad??? So try it I did, and success! Mind blown!

I am so happy to discover this technique, it just opens up so many other possibilities!! Here's another card I made using this technique.

And here's how I made it...

 I stamped the birds from the Free as a Bird set using Memento ink

 Colored my images in using my Blends

 Painted my images with Versamark, covered with clear embossing powder and heat-set

And finally sponged my background using Mango Melody, Terracotta Tile and Merry Merlot. I added a Mango Melody mat piece using my Ornate Layers Dies, added my Baker's twine, and adhered the whole piece to my Crumb Cake card base. My sentiment is from Beautiful You on a piece of Whisper White piece die cut with a Stitched Nested Labels die. Lastly I added some rhinestones for embellishment.

Masculine Card

Hello and welcome! Today I have the utmost privilege of joining a brilliantly creative group of talented demonstrators from all over the world in a monthly video hop. How cool is that?! Our theme for this month is masculine.

Now to tell you honestly, I have a hard time creating masculine cards...mostly because I rarely make them! I'm mostly into florals and glitter...not very manly as you can imagine. So this was quite a challenge for me. I struggled on what I wanted to make, but eventually decided that simple is the way to go. So here is what I came up with...

Pigment Sprinkles Baby Wipe Technique

     Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are all staying safe at home wherever you are. Thankfully it was a long weekend, so I had time to craft for the first time in ages! Yay for me!

     So today I decided to play with my Pigment Sprinkles once again. This stuff is so much fun to play with, the possibilities are just endless! I discovered a new technique on how to use these...the baby wipe technique! Super quick and easy, and dare I say a less messy way to using this powder? Check out my short video down below on how I did this technique :)

     Now that was super easy right?!? So what did I do with those pieces I created you ask? Well I turned them into these cards!

      This card was made using the sheet on the right from my first play with this technique. I sprayed the sheet with my shimmer spray (Frost White shimmer paint + water) so the colors blended more. I used my Magnolia Memory Dies and some copper foil for my flowers and leaves and the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder on Whisper White cardstock. My sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set which I copper heat-embossed on a strip of Whisper White cardstock. I then added a faceted dot (retired) in the middle of the flowers for embellishment.

     I used the sheet on the left (first set) to create this simple card. The colors of the sheet made me think of a daisy, so I made a daisy card. I stamped my daisies from Daisy Lane using Merry Merlot ink, then punched those out using the medium and big Daisy Punch. I stamped the leaves from the same stamp set multiple times on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Mossy Meadow before running it through my BigShot with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. My sentiment was from the Forever Blossoms stamp set which I white heat-embossed on a strip of Cajun Craze cardstock. I used a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock for my mat piece and then for the center of my daisy I added a Gold Glitter Enamel Dot.

      This sheet was the one on the right (2nd set). It made me think of a sunset, so I created a silhouette card using my Soft Spring stamp set and Memento ink. My sentiment is from the SAB set Power of Hope, which I white heat embossed on a strip of Basic Black cardstock. I used a Basic Black mat piece and added the ribbon from the Tea Room combo for embellishment. Done.

      Lastly this sheet made me think of Easter with all it's vibrant colors. So I cut it using a die from my Ornate Layers, added the bunny from Fable Friends stamp set, stamped my sentiment using Memento ink on a Whisper White piece that I cut using my Label Me Fancy punch. I used another sheet of Whisper White that I ran through my BigShot with my Subtle 3D embossing folder for my mat piece. Lastly I added white ribbon (retired) for embellishment.

Vibrant Ombré Background

I have been wanting to play with my Peaceful Moments bundle for a while now, and today I finally got the opportunity to do so. I had it all pictured in my mind...a vibrant ombre background with my poppy die-cuts in black. So I set out to make my background piece...I started inking up my Whisper White cardstock piece using a brayer and my ink pads. I came up with a nice background piece, but not what I had in mind. The colors were too muted...not as striking as I wanted even with multiple layers of ink. Time for Plan B.

I thought to myself, why not just stamp my background? I'll get the color pay-off that I'm looking for and it's quick and easy. Win-win! So I searched through my vast collection of stamp sets until my Artisan Textures caught my eye. Perfect! Color and texture, I love it!

I just stamped repetitively in different shades to get the effect I wanted. I used Mango Melody, Terracotta Tile, Merry Merlot & Blackberry Bliss for my inks. I was so  happy with the end result that I had to make multiples!

Now wasn't that easy?!? Here are the cards that I made using these vibrant background pieces...I think they are just striking! I used my Poppy Moments Dies for some cards, using Basic Black cardstock and Copper Foil sheets for the accents. Some of my sentiments were from the Peaceful Moments and Sending You Thoughts stamp sets, heat-embossed with copper embossing powder to tie in with the other accents on my cards. And lastly for embellishment I added some of my Champagne Rhinestone Jewels.

This background piece is more muted and less textured compared to the rest because I sprayed it with lots and lots of water. It just depends on the effect that you are looking for, add as much or as little water as you like :)

This card was made using my Butterfly Beauty Die, and the sentiment came from Dandelion Wishes stamp set. 

And lastly, I used my Springtime Impressions Die on this card, sentiment from Dandelion Wishes stamp set again on a punched out piece of Copper Foil using my Everyday Label Punch. I just lined the edges with a black permanent marker to add dimension. I also added a linen thread bow for embellishment.
